AFSA Releases Constitutional Amendments and Resolutions Ahead of National Convention

AFSA has officially released its proposed constitutional amendments and resolutions in preparation for its upcoming national convention, marking a critical step in shaping the union’s future direction.

These documents, which are now available to members for review here, outline key changes to the AFSA Constitution and policy stances that will be debated and voted on during the convention. The proposed amendments aim to modernize organizational structure, streamline governance, and strengthen representation for local leaders and members.

"This is a pivotal moment for our union," said AFSA President Dr. Leonard P. Pugliese. "These proposals reflect the input of our members and our collective vision for how AFSA can remain strong and effective in advocating for school leaders nationwide."

The convention starting July 24 will bring together delegates from across the country to vote on these measures and elect national officers. Leading up to the event, AFSA encourages all members to study the proposals, engage in local discussions, and be prepared to make their voices heard.
